Success requires a high degree of self-awareness

The first step in this process is examining your assumptions and belief systems.

What are assumptions?

Assumptions are the largely unconscious belief systems we hold that influence how we act and behave.

A few common assumptions in organizations are:

Unfortunately, managers and leaders who hold these or similar assumptions create working environments that are detrimental to the health and well being of employees and to the overall success of the company. Policies and procedures are created that are rigidly enforced. Compensation programs are created that don't provide for people's basic needs. Goal setting programs are used in ways that are often misunderstood, which in turn demotivates, rather than motivates people. Reward programs are created that are inconsistent and unfair.

The truth is that your people are your greatest assets. When you invest in your people, when you engage your people in a way that makes them feel valued and supported, you build a cadre of loyal, committed, and productive people who are willing to work hard.

Our mission at Dragon's Pearl is to assist you in uncovering the assumptions that may act as roadblocks to your success and help you create a synergistic culture that utilizes the wisdom of your people. We do this through one-on-one leadership coaching and in designing and implementing scientifically-based Organizational Development and Performance Management programs.

Remember: Lead wisely, management compassionately, prosper together!
